Galco Pocket Protector Pocket Holster

This model from Galco has the traditional ‘hook’ you see in any respectable pocket holster. This additional curve with the leather on the Pocket Protector allows you to draw the firearm with the holster remaining in the pocket. This is one of the few benefits of this holster.

The material is suspected to be split leather, which though extremely cheap and susceptible to quick destruction, minimizes the “printing” on the outside of the pants. There is a beginning of a reinforced throat, however it does not continue throughout. This makes this flimsy holster much more difficult to re-holster.

The Pocket Protector is priced at $20. Although reasonable, you will be disappointed how much more you can get for an additional $10. The longevity of the better holsters should be enough to motivate you away from this purchase. Like the stereotypical pocket protector, you don’t want to be caught with this.
